Jeffrey Auld
Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Adelos Energy Inc.
Mr. Auld has been involved with the international oil and gas business for over 30 years. He has managed companies and acted as an advisor to companies operating in the emerging market’s oil and gas business.
Mr. Auld also has a depth of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and strategic management.
Mr. Auld began his career in Canada and moved to the United Kingdom in 1995. He was the Commercial Manager for New Ventures for Premier Oil plc. He then left Premier Oil and joined the Energy and Power team within the Mergers and Strategic Advisory group of Goldman, Sachs and Co.
Mr. Auld later joined PetroKazakhstan, a NYSE-listed company with assets in Kazakhstan, as a Senior Vice-President. After his time at PetroKazakhstan, Mr. Auld became the Head of European Energy for Canaccord Genuity in London.
Prior to joining Adelos, Mr. Auld was the Head of EMEA Oil and Gas at Macquarie Capital in London.
Vlad Ryabov
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ryabov joined Adelos Energy in March 2023 as Group Financial Controller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in September 2023. Mr. Ryabov’s experience spans a variety of sectors, including an over nine-year tenure in public practice with Deloitte and over twelve years in the natural resources sector for oil & gas exploration and production operations in emerging markets.
Mr. Ryabov started his career in public practice with Deloitte CIS in 2001, where he qualified as an accountant before moving to Deloitte UK/London in 2007. His most recent finance director role was for the Saudi investment Group, all contributing to his development into an experienced finance professional.
James Ryan
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Ryan joined Adelos Energy in January 2026 as Chief Operating Officer. He began his career at BHP in 1998 and held positions in reservoir engineering and subsurface coordination roles , working on producing assets in: UK, Pakistan, Algeria, and Trinidad. Over the subsequent years he held various senior reservoir engineering roles with Endeavour Energy, JKX Oil & Gas, Aminex PLC, and most recently as Principal Reservoir Engineer with Horizon Energy Global.
Mr. Ryan has a Masters Degree in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Keele University.
Calvin Brackman
Vice President, Strategy
Mr. Brackman has more than 25 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, both in the public and private sector. His career began with the Department of Natural Resources of the Government of Canada, before moving to a senior position in the Minerals, Oil & Gas Division of the Government of the Northwest Territories. In 2003, Mr. Brackman moved to London, UK, to join PetroKazakhstan Inc.
As Director of Government Relations, he developed and implemented strategies to reduce the company’s surface risk. Following the sale of PetroKazakhstan to CNPC in 2005, Mr. Brackman moved back to Canada and started a successful consulting practice, providing expert advice to various international companies and governments.
In December 2016, he joined Adelos in his current role, working with the company’s management team and business units to develop and implement the Group’s exploration and development strategies and oversee government and stakeholder relations.
Hugo Cabral
President, Petrolera Santa Maria
Mr Cabral has been in Oil and Gas business for over 40 years. He began his career in the industry at CAPSA-CAPEX in Argentina, where he was appointed Legal Manager. He was the negotiator for the first oil and gas exploration and exploitation project with Exxon and Chevron, the Government, and YPF.
In the 90s, he participated electric power generation project. He was the negotiator in charge of the first phase of the turnkey contract for the Agua del Cajón electric power generation plant.
In 1995, he was legal advisor for Eximbank in the financing of the last phase of the Agua del Cajón generation plant. In the same year, he also coordinated the “Fourth Line Project” (high-voltage line between Comahue, Buenos Aires Province, and the city of Buenos Aires).
